Alide Webb

She was born in Texas City, Texas on February 18, 1920, and lived in Bay City, Texas until moving to Austin, Texas in 1982. She and her husband James Webb were members of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Webb and daughter Pat McWhirter who both died in 1991. Her brother John Edward Stamm also preceded her in death in 2005.

Survivors include her daughter Ellen Halbert, husband Joel, granddaughter Karen Gregory and husband Rusty, grandson Patrick Brown of Austin; great grandchildren Brittany, Lauren and David Gregory; niece Deanna Holman of Stockton California

While in Bay City she was the church secretary and counselor for many years at the First Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family. She was James' caregiver for many years before his death.

She had a long, wonderful, and happy life. She was an inspiration to everyone who know her and will be missed.

Alide will be in state on Sunday from 12:00 to 5:00 pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas 78705. Memorial Services will be held at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 2, 2018, with Rev. Stacy Ikard Officiating. A private burial will be at Austin Memorial Park.
