Alice Mundkowsky Nitsche Taylor

Alice Mundkowsky Nitsche Taylor Alice, 82, was born April 22, 1925 in Temple, TX to Oscar & Clara Mundkowsky. She went home to be with her Lord on January 13, 2008. Alice attended grade school in Lawrence Chapel and was a 1943 graduate of Taylor High School. She married Louis Nitsche (deceased) on June 6, 1943. After the war they moved to Austin where she worked until her retirement. She was a member or The Daughter's of The Nile, Ruh Neb #64, Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America - Ben Hera Court #91, Women in Construction, and a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church. On February 17, 1984, she married the second love of her life O. Ray Taylor. They enjoyed traveling and just being with each other and family. Thanks Pop. Alice is survived by her husband of 23 years Ray, daughter Becky & husband Mike Cheek, son Robert (Bob) Nitsche, step-son Bruce & wife Sandy Taylor, step-daughter Leslie & husband Luke Perkins. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Family Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Weed-Corley-Fish, 3125 N. Lamar, Austin, TX with interment at Capital Parks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Shriner Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.
