Alfredo Z. Saldivar

Our beloved father and grandfather, Alfredo Z. Saldivar, 87, resident of Austin, Texas born in San Antonio, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 2, 2009. He was a veteran of WWII, serving his country proudly and discharged honorably from the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Pauline Saldivar, on February 13, 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Stella Rodriquez and husband Raul; four sisters, Maria Saldivar, Fidelia Ydrogo, Martina Casias, Susie Hernandez of San Antonio; one brother, Willie Saldivar and wife Mary of San Antonio; six grandchildren, Carlos Carrales Jr. of Austin, Cindy Lemmon and husband Brad of Olathe, Kansas, Christopher Carrales, Cathy Sosa and husband Ruben, Roxanna Wikert, Raul Rodriquez Jr. and wife Dawn of Austin; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. We will all miss him very, very much and all of our love and hearts go with him.
