Texas.
After returning from his four years of military service with the U.S Marine Corps in
Vietnam, he married Yolanda Fuentes. During his studies while attending San Antonio College, he worked at Fox Photo. After obtaining an Associate Degree, he transferred to Southwest Texas State University and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business specializing in Accounting. During his college years, he developed a passion for photography. Beside photography Alfredo’s other hobby was his love of music. He spent hours playing the guitar. As a teen he learned to play this instrument and joined some small local bands. He always carried that guitar in his car and would play at parties and family gatherings. This passion for music he passed on to his sons. He even taught his granddaughter how to play the guitar.
His profession took him to Austin, where he landed a job in the main office of the Brown Schools as an accountant. After several years of working with the Brown Schools, he took another accounting position at Seton Hospital. Alfredo then went on to take accounting positions with the State of Texas. He first worked with the Department of Human Services; then he was Lead Auditor at Health and Human Services Commission. He retired from this position in 2008.
