When I think of Alex, I think of someone with a big smile on his face and just radiating positive energy. Always friendly, welcoming, and upbeat. I couldn't help but to appreciate him right away.

Alex...what a sweet and gentle man. He made our girlfriend Sharon very very happy and was a loving, supportive and always a "stand up" kind of guy. I believe they brought out the best in one another. I know he left those who loved him with a huge ache, but full of wonderful memories of a life well lived and boundless love.

Such a trouper! The "token dude" in Bali for a week with 7 women. He did it with style and grace.

I always enjoyed spending time with Alex--what a fun man! He will be sorely missed by those who were lucky enough to have met him. Godspeed, Alex. Until we meet again.

We only knew Alex for a few years, but he was an instant friend!  He always walked through our front door with a smile on his face.  He is in a special place somewhere looking over us all!!  with love, Heather and Griffin

My brother, My hero. Never afraid of anything and always there to protect and care for me. I learned that I was not the only one who he took care of. He was a good man and his job was done here on earth. He deserves the glory of God. I miss hearing him chatter on but I know he is with me at all times. I was lucky to have him as my big brother. Alex will continue to be a strong force in our lives. We expected his consistent full glass of water approach to cancer to defy the odds, and we prayed for that. The way he weaved us all gently into his triumphs, and we secretly shared his disappointments. A strong man who loved Sharon so much, his very dear daughter, and his family and friends. Lucky us to have been in Alex's circle! At his memorial Brain Andreas was quoted, I'm not sure I can include this but I thought it reminded me of this gracious and lovely man we all love.

God blesses us with certain people he sends into our lives.  Alex was one of those people, I was blessed to have the honor and privilege to call my friend.  I will always miss him and I will always remember the great times we had together.  We made Memories!

Alex was one of those "bigger than life" kind of guys.  He filled the room with his presence and did the same with our hearts.  His legacy will live on in all of us.

I remember those outstanding days in the mountains during elk season. You were great company Alex. Your irrepressible spirit and sense of humor still inspire me.

I met Alex shortly after he and Sharon began dating. It was natural that I met him early on-Sharon and I live close together and were spending lots of time together in those days-hiking, gardening, cooking, parties etc. Alex quickly began referring to me as "Sharon's other boyfriend". While many guys would have been a little put off by such a situation, Alex was not. Anyone who was Sharon's friend was his friend.Over the years, I was able to enjoy Alex's company on dozens of occasions. I was always happy to see him because he made Sharon happy and also because he was such a great guy. It was impossible not to have fun when you were with him. He laughed often and loudly, was eager to help in any way he could with just about any project, was quick to offer to make you a drink and was frequently serving up his delicious brisket to anyone who wanted it. Alex's priorities always seemed clear-he loved his family and friends and whenever he could spend time with them, he was having fun-no matter where they were or what the circumstances. If the setting was out in nature, well that was even better. I will miss Alex's company but will always be grateful for the years that he was present in so many of our lives.

Sharon, although I met Alex, I did not really know him.  The little time I did get to visit, it was clear he was a gentle man who clearly adored you.  I know your devotion was  fierce.  You are a special lady, and I know you will treasure the memories you two created together for many years to come.  My deepest sympathy and love to you. Rest with the angels, sweet Alex.

Alex you will be missed by so so many that you touched. You were such a care taker in life that I know that's what you are still doing from up there. Thank you for who you were in my business and for who you were as a friend. I feel blessed to have known you for so long. Enjoy your peace my friend and we will see you again someday.

Alex..I was so disappointed to miss your memorial service due to being out of town.  Work just isn't the same without you. I miss your laughter and ready smile.  You will always be in my heart and my prayers are with your family.
