Albert Meza Martinez, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Austin, Texas. He was born on August 20, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas to Margarita Martinez Hernandez and Castantino Martinez.
Albert served in the US Air Force, 805th Air Police Squadron during the post Korean War era. After his military service, he worked for the Coca Cola Company for 30 years.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Guadalupe Olivo Martinez; his parents; and brother, Raul (Roy) Martinez. He is survived by his children; son, Daniel Martinez and wife, Martha; daughter, Deborah Ricketson-Eller and husband, Robert Eller; as well as his grandchildren, Crystal Martinez-Stewart and husband, Aaron Stewart, Katherine Martinez, and Joshua, Savannah, Sierra and Lauren Ricketson. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard, George and Mario Martinez and his sisters, Theresa Whitson and Alice Gutierrez.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Trinity Abundant Life Church, 412 Cumberland Road with Pastor Mike Pecina officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
