Adrian graduated from Yeshiva Ohel Moshe in Bensonhurst, from James Madison High School in Brooklyn, and from New York University with degrees in mechanical and aeronautical engineering. What he most liked to do was to build: from a grandfather's clock for our house to miniature doll houses replicas of the "Painted Ladies" in San Francisco for his grandchildren. Professionally, he went all over the country building underground missile silos to keep the country safe from the Soviet Union in the early 1960's.
When his travelling days were finished he worked helping to build the lunar excursion module (LEM), the vehicle that took the astronauts from the command module to the surface of the moon and back. He also hand built a lake house on Houston County Lake in Crockett, Texas.
What word best comes to mind to describe him? A healthy curiosity and a desire to create and build. That was Adrian. He retired from professional life at age 79 and moved to Austin to be closer to family.
He had great love and admiration for his wife, son and daughter, and his two beautiful granddaughters. We will miss him more than words can say.
