Bill was born, raised and lived his entire life in Aurora. He was strong in his faith, and was a very active member of 76 years at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Aurora. Former founder and owner of Summers and Smith Heating and Cooling in Aurora, Bill built a successful and thriving business for others to carry on. He lived an independent and full life up to 3 weeks before his passing, enjoying a game of cards, lawn bowling and golf.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Evelyn (Miller). Loving father to Michael (Debra), Cheryl (deceased), and son-in-law, Gideon. Dear brother to Anne of B.C., and Ernest (Audrey) of Alberta. Predeceased by brother John (Helen) of Orillia. Cherished grandfather to Christopher, Catherine (Dave), Jennifer, Ryan (Lisa), Carolyn, Julia, Ashley and Chad. Bill will be forever missed by his great grandchildren, his extended family and friends from St. Andrews and Chartwell Park Place Retirement Home.
