So sad to hear this news. I cared for Vi for almost a year after her surgery and had many fantastic conversations with Bill about his big family, how he and Vi met at a dance and he knew she was the one, stories of the kids growing up, sharing stories of my kids, how proudly he would tell me of his kids accomplishments as they grew up to adults, and laughing when he told me about buying his cottage before he even bought a car to get to it. We had so many laughs. I loved to bring them my home made soups and stews when I came. He was always so grateful and kind to me. He held a special place for me as he reminded me so much of my own father. My heart sincerely goes out to his family. He will be very missed.

My condolences to the Hawley family. My prayer and thoughts to each and all of you. My mom Audrey and sister Angela are now with uncle Bill looking down on us all.  Hugs and kisses too you all.

Uncle Bill was a great man to all the family of the Hawley's and Roberts. He will always be in our heart. Words can't say how we feel. My condolences on the passing of your father.

Dear Jan, Lynn, Rick, Mark and Scott, 
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your father.  We all got to witness true lifelong friendships as our parents went from being neighbors raising families together to friends through the ages.  From their basement parties of legend, to dancing almost every New Year's, they certainly knew how to have a good time.  They also enjoyed the quite pleasures of morning coffee, time at the cottage or exploring on one of their many trips.  I know my sense of family and friendship has been largely shaped by the people we have been so lucky to call our parents.  
Your father was an exceptional man.  Every memory I have of him comes back to his laugh and his smile and that knowing look he always had in his eye.  I can't imagine you guys ever got away with much, nothing seemed to escape his notice, but he was also one of the most generous and accepting people I have ever known.  Unfortunately the fullness of his life is proportional to the loss we now feel.
Please pass on my love to your mother, it breaks my heart to imagine her without her sweet William.

Jan, Lynn, Rick, Mark, & Scott - I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad.  I'm sure you have thousands of fond memories flashing through your heads.  The posted pictures are wonderful!  Over the years, I've run into him while shopping, or when getting some occasional printing done.  Always a smile on his face.  Always interested in how things were going.  Such a friendly, caring man!  Please give my condolences to your Mom.  (I'm away on the 19th.)  All the best to all of you!

Mrs. Hawley you are one lucky lady to share such a wonderful life with your true love for 68 years. You and Bill set a fantastic example for your children & grandchildren & great grand child to follow. 
Since Scott has been apart of our family for over 38 years, the Hawley's have always been an extension of our family. We shared many family celebrations together. Bill will be greatly missed by all.
Lisa your words touched my heart. I am sending you all hugs and if there is anything I can do to help,  I am only a phone call away.
Remember to take the time to cry and then remember all the happy memories that you have and hold on to those close to your heart. Bill will be in your hearts forever.
