Sydney John Shields was born in China on January 8, 1923, and passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Care Village, Newmarket, Ontario on May 21, 2017. John is the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Anderson) , and is the son of the late Sydney and Molly Shields. Sydney "John" will be fondly remembered by his Goddaughter Donna, and her husband Monty McKinnon of Newmarket, Ontario. John worked as a draftsman for many years, and very much enjoyed camping, cottaging, and the great outdoors. A Private Family Service will be held. Cremation.
