I worked with Susan and we had kept in touch after she retired. I was shocked and very sad to learn that Susan had passed away. My sincere condolences to her friends and family.

Roger and I were very shocked to hear of Sue's passing.  Roger had known Sue for over 45 years.  I have known Sue for 27 years.  We will remember all the good times with Sue and Gord over the years.  Barb and Roger Sharp

I met Sue 10 years ago when she joined my chapter of the Red Hat Society known as the Mad Hatters of Newmarket.  Sixteen of us gathered at my home for the first time as a "getting to know you" evening.  We all became instant friends and enjoyed many years of "fun and friendship after 50".  Sue left the chapter a few years ago to pursue other interests and, with all good intentions, we promised to keep in touch. Unfortunately we did not. Sue was an active member and we all have some special memories of her.

My long friendship with Sue goes back to1952---to Miss Bennet's class at Leicester House School(later Lewes High). I have very happy memories of staying over  with Coxy ,as she was known, at her home in South Way and  when in 1964  Sue moved to Canada we kept in touch by letters and latterly by emails. From  her early visits to the U.K. with Gordie to more recent LHS reunions, it was lovely to see Sue so happy and to hear of her latest news and travels. She has faced this cruel illness with such courage. I shall always fondly remember my brave,courageous friend. Thank you for your friendship, Sue, I will never forget you. I have known Sue since we were both twelve years old at Lewes High School, Sussex. Sue was quiet, always kind & I remember she did not enjoy sport  at all in those days. Sue & I were almost the same age, just a few days apart. I saw Sue when she visited England for our Lewes High reunions and also when I visited her great freind Catherine in N. Carolina.I have heard through Catherine her very brave struggle with cancer & so cruel it returned again.

Rest in peace, Sue. I am sorry due to distance I can't be at your memorial.

We were so sad to hear of Sue's untimely death. I am another school friend from Kindergarten at Leicester House School/Lewes High School to O level year.   She was always a good friend.   I spent many happy times at her home on 'sleepovers' while at school.  We kept in touch over the years, but it has been wonderful keeping in touch via emails.   I admired her courage so much after the death of Gordie.  We shall miss her very much.  My love and sympathy to Catherine, her close friend, and my sympathy to Paul. We all have so many happy memories.  When Sue moved to Canada after leaving school, she always kept in touch and we were fortunate to be able to arrange reunions when she visited family and friends in England. Sue was one of my friends I met through walking.  We always had good times.  She was such a wonderful, kind, caring person.  Some of my family had met Sue and really enjoyed her company.  Sue, I am going to miss you so much.

I enjoyed Sue's friendship when we went to Unique Lives together while she was still working. There was a great group of ladies that all got to know each other through the friendship of Helena and Linda who invited everyone to join the group. She will be missed by all for her positive attitude and quest to enjoy life to the fullest.

I've known Sue for at least 25 years. We first met when she worked at RBC. Following her retirement we continued to keep in touch and I enjoyed hearing about her travels. Sue lost her husband very unexpectedly, but she was so strong and carried on. When she told me she had met a lovely man, Paul, I was very happy for her. If only things could have turned out differently. Sue was a good friend who I will truly miss meeting for dinner or lunch and having a visit.

From kindergarten in England to discovering Sue lived just a couple of miles from us when we moved to Ontario, Sue has been literally a lifelong friend. We loved her feisty spirit and greatly enjoyed her visits to Vancouver. We missed Gord who died far too young. But were delighted to learn of her friendship with Paul; just so sorry we didn't get to meet him. With love and fond memories Sue.

Sue and I had plans for vacation trips to Hawaii, Greek Islands, the rivers of Europe, and more.   Our whirlwind romance was only 18 months old but we were a once-in-a-lifetime fit. Her illness changed everything of course but she brought me excitement and happiness I will never forget.  Her passing leaves a mammoth void that will be impossible to fill.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Susan. I worked with Sue for nearly 10 years at RBC back in the 80's and 90's. Always positive and pleasant, smart and kind, she was a wonderful coworker, and friend for that time in our lives.  Although we lost touch over the years, I thought of her often and I'm happy she had taken the opportunity to retire and enjoy life.  --Cathy Kealey
