We are sad to share the news that Simon Jones passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, due to complications from his spinal cord injury. Son of Carol (deceased), brother to Natalie (Frans) and beloved uncle to Ben, Sophie and Allie.
Simon took great joy in being an uncle to his nieces and nephew, always ready to play a game or head to the park with them, sneaking them Skittles and Gatorade on the side.
Simon loved sports. Well known was his love of hockey, but he was happy watching almost any sport and took joy in knowing details about almost any athlete.
Simon was fiercely independent and lived life on his own terms. He saw the best in people, strongly understood right and wrong, and treated everyone with respect. Simon had a great sense of humour, was quick with a joke or imitation and put anyone he met instantly at ease.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation or Lyndhurst Rehabilitation Centre.
