Born in Lac Saint-Jean, to the late Francis Jean and Marie Rose Gagnon, Raynald Jean was husband and life-long friend to Kelly, loving father to John-Paul and Christina, father-in-law to Calvin, and grandfather to Isaac.
He leaves behind his dogs, Honey and Crystal, who meant so much to him.
Raynald loved to work with his hands and spent most of his early career working on cars, and finally in construction and property management. With a passion for history, antiques and memorabilia, he was fascinated by life on and beyond Earth.
He loved spending summers at Musselman’s Lake where he was better known as Uncle Ray. In the light of day, you could find him baking in the sun, in little more than shorts and shoes, at night laughing with friends round a campfire where his primary goal was always for everyone to “have a good time”.
With a kind soul and sensitive heart, he spread joy and laughter everywhere he went and though his humour was at times questionable, you could always count on him to lend a helping hand.
His memory will live on in our hearts, always.
A visitation for Raynald will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM followed by a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life and memory at his daughter’s house.
