Passed away peacefully at IOOF Seniors Home, Barrie on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Norma was the beloved wife of Gordon E. Smith and the loving mother of Karen (Robert) Hookings, Steven (Sharon) Moss and Sandra (Cy, deceased) Walker. Dear grandmother of seven grandchildren, Shannon (David), Leigh (Edward), Robin (Travis), Jeffrey, Brett,

Rachael, Adam, and four greatgrandchildren, Jack, Lauren, Savannah and Brodie. Norma was a loving stepmother of Karen (James) and Richard (Sherri). Dear Stepgrandmother to Christopher (Amanda), Jason (Stephanie) and Josie (Nick) and dear Step grandmother of Keir, Laine and Theran. Norma was the eldest child of Irene and Norman Stafford (deceased) and the sister of James (deceased) (Marion) and Robert (Helen). Norma will be remembered as caring and fun loving, who thought of others before herself. The family wishes to thank the staff at the IOOF in Barrie for their care and kindness to Norma. A Celebration of Norma's Life will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora (905-727-5421).
