Nadine was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer on February 3, 2023. At the time, doctors gave her 3 months to live. Like the fighter she is, she battled for over a year, in true Nadine-fashion. On February 15, 2024, Nadine gained her wings and peacefully left us to celebrate her late-son, Jeffrey (2002), for what would have been his 42nd birthday.
Beloved wife of Juergen (Jim), mother to Amanda and Lisa, loving nana to Avery and Malyka, daughter to the late Jock (1997) and Naomi (2016) Rodger, and sister to her six siblings, Joanne (Rick), Wendy, Bill (Beverly), John (Kathy), James (Alison), and twin sister Naomi (Brian).
Nadine will be missed on Mazinaw Lake, where she spent her childhood, and her favourite Provincial Park, Bon Echo, where she and Jim took their trailer and made many friends and memories.
Nadine always loved the gym. She joined fitness classes on a weekly basis including BodyPUMP, and her daughter Amanda’s Zumba and STRONG NATION classes. As one of the oldest in the class, she was always one of the most fit!
