It is with broken hearts that my mother and I announce the passing of the most amazingly strong, brave and courageous father and husband.
Murray James Closs, 69, died April 25, 2017, with his “two girls” by his side.
Murray was born December 10, 1947, in Aurora, ON, to Murvyn and Andrew Closs. He was the youngest of four children, Andrew, Elizabeth (deceased) and Carol.
Murray was a very hard-working, driven person and was known to many as a ‘go-getter’. He was a kind, generous, honest, big-hearted man that would give you the shirt off his back. Murray had an amazing sense of humour, was very witty and his smile would light up any room.
Murray was an outstanding athlete who excelled in golf, hockey, racquet ball, gymnastics, basketball, soccer and pool. He loved to travel and enjoyed many family vacations in the Caribbean. Murray also loved his cars and was a Ford man through and through.
Murray was an amazing father, husband and friend to those who had the privilege of knowing him. He dedicated his life to his family and only wanted the best for them.
He will be profoundly and passionately missed by his wife, Judith of 48 years, and his daughter, Jennifer (TOADER) as well as Macy and Riley, his two loving dogs.
Murray always said “I did It my way” (Frank Sinatra) and he did.
