Peacefully at her home in Newmarket on Wednesday May 4, 2016. Muriel, beloved wife of the late Frank Thirsk and Allan Knechtel. Loving mother of Darlene and her husband Paul Christoffersen of Newmarket. Cherished grandma of Cheryl and he husband Mike Laing of Keswick, and great nana of Zoe. Also survived by her sisters Betty Drysdale of Newmarket and Lorraine Kirton of Keswick. Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Aurora Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the O. S. P. C.
