I am very sorry to hear about Mary's passing away.  As a colleague and friend,  I always appreciated Mary for her honesty and integrity. She was a good listener and mentor. We will miss her. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.  May she rest in peace.

It is with much sadness that I have learned of Mary's passing. My deep condolences to her sisters and brothers and all her family.

A friend and a colleague of many years I remember her compassion and dedication to her work in the environment and to caring about her coworkers wellness. She remained a loyal friend to many long after her retirement and I am blessed to have been counted among them.

Many, many years ago Mary gifted me with a yellow orchid. That orchid still blooms strong for me. Now when I look at it, it will remind me of her and of our friendship over the years.

Rest in peace my dear friend! Till we meet again at Heaven's Gate!

Mary  had many good friends including Ken Steadman, who shared her love of antiques and who supported her and the family with his friendship during her illness; Judy and Ron Kwik, their children Cisca and Anna, and son Kai; Nita Munro and her husband Graham; neighbours Joan Fielding and Robin and Mike.  She had many good friends, and we were often included.

We owned a time share with Mary at Deerhurst resort and spent one week at it every summer with Mary and family. Our favourite spot was sitting underneath an old oak creek tree and sipping a drink or two. Pictured in the foreground is my mother, Alice. 

Dad, Mary, and Viviane (Dan and Elaine). Mary delighted in being an aunt.

Mary received A bachelor's degree in botany from the U of T and went on to receive a master's degree using a thesis project studying succession in forests. She worked for Ontario Hydro, followed by the Ontario Ministry of Environment. She retired as a manager and referred to her staff as "the best in the world"

Mary's memory will be cherished by her family, May is in the centre of this photo with a beaming smile.

I fondly remember spending time with Jenny and Mary. She was always so kind to us kiddos.  She will be missed. Sending my love to the family.
