Katharine Mary Granger

Our beloved mother, daughter and sister, Katharine Mary Granger, passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2024 at the age of 58. She is survived by her three children, who made up the entirety of her world, Daniel, David, and James Shepherd. Katharine was raised with love by her parents, Avril and Colin Granger, along side her twin brother, Richard Granger. She was also a loving aunt to Liam and Lara Granger.

Katharine was an incredibly loving person who lightened the room with her presence and warm smile. She had a passion for running, cycling and swimming, where she demonstrated remarkable achievements by completing several triathlons, marathons and an Ironman.

She cherished her time in the fresh air of the Durham Forest trails, where she was accompanied by her friends and beloved dog, Daisy. Katharine and Daisy were inseparable. Katharine was an avid gardener, which was introduced to her by her grandfather during her childhood in Wales. Her weekends were often spent weeding, planting and beautifying the garden landscape surrounding her home, and homes of others.

Katharine had a deep love for music. The piano was her form of meditation, and was introduced to her at a young age by her parents, Avril and Colin. She showcased her passion of playing the piano through teaching several of students over the years in the Uxbridge region.

Katharine was taken from us far too early, but her legacy of love, strength and dedication will remain forever.

Visitation will take place on Thursday June 6, 2024 at Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria St. Aurora, ON L4G 1R3 at 10 am until time of the service at 11 am. Interment at Aurora Cemetery.
