Diane's family is saddened to announce that she passed away quietly on the 23rd of February with her husband Victor "Peter" at her side. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Andrew (Caroline) and Brian (Tasha). Her brother Bill (Liz) grandchildren Shane, Thomas and Rianne and niece and nephew Michelle and Trevor.
Diane was a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and the Ontario Teachers College and following graduation, she taught art and mathematics at the Senior Public School in Etobicoke for a number of years. Diane and Peter were married in 1962 and they built a custom log house in a forest near Aurora where she established a studio and continued her painting and teaching along with being a wonderful wife to Peter and a great "Mom" to Andrew and Brian and later a doting grandmother.
Her art career, helped to finance her many painting trips to many countries in Europe and Asia as well as locations in the United States and the Caribbean. She was also recognized as "Signature Member" of the Toronto Watercolour Society as well as a member of The Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour.
She enjoyed traveling, cross country skiing and was an avid tennis player, but most of all she was a wonderful life partner for Peter for the 60 plus years and will live on in the hearts and minds of her family.
