To the Russell Family,
We were sad to hear about the deaths of Jack and Jean. They were the best neighbours anybody could have. They were a wonderful example of a loving marriage and their love for their family was very evident. They were very sweet together and we will always remember them as our friends and neighbours on Haskell Crescent. Our thoughts are with you.

To all of my cousins,children of Jean and Jack Russell ( and to their spouses and children):

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of both of your parents. Jean and Jack, my aunt and uncle, were always receptive and compassionate with both my wife and me  and also my parents. They always embodied the couple who did activities together and shared their lives with others in social activities and family get-to-gathers. When I was in in my teens, they were often the initiators of family reunions and they sustained this into their later years. So, picnics and good food were always clear remembrances. 

When my parents' 50th anniversary approached, they and my uncle Bill and aunt Gladys organized a small dinner party. When my dad was ailing after a stroke, and my parents attended a birthday party for Jack, it was Jean who encouraged my dad to have more to eat and selected the right food for him. Jean was my dad Jack's youngest sister and as he had looked after her as the eldest and the only brother in a family of five children, she seemed tuned into him when he was older and needed help. Jean is the last of my biological relatives from that generation and she will be missed.
                                  
As my wife has often said, Jean was the glue that kept the Fraser family in contact and Jack supported her .
