She is survived by her loving husband Marc of 51 years, her two children Andrea (Mark) and Matthew (Amy), her grandchildren Ronan and Dylan, her brothers Frank (Kim), Alex (Suzanne), Leo, and Ben (Halina), as well as her nieces and nephews and all of her cousins whom she loved with all her heart.
Esther was completely devoted to her family and ensuring those around her were always loved and taken care of. Her greatest joy came from bringing her loved ones together and sharing a meal. Her joy of cooking and baking became contagious as both her children and her grandsons learned at her side. She always loved family gatherings and always wanted to keep everyone within arms reach. How else was she going to give you one of her amazing hugs?!
Visitation will be held on Sunday August 27th from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm at Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Pkwy S. Aurora, ON). Esther’s funeral will be held on Monday,August 28th at 11am at Thompson Funeral Home followed by her burial at the Aurora Cemetery on Yonge Street. A small reception will be held after the burial back at the funeral home for anyone who would like to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for a donation to be made in Esther’s name to either Sunnybrook Hospital - Odette Cancer Centre, Princess Margaret Hospital, or the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
