Colin was born on the 8th of July, 1973 to Roxanne McBride and Neil McBride in Fort McMurray Alberta. Colin committed himself to a life of service, joining the military and serving on four peacekeeping tours in the former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan. After twenty-five years Colin retired in 2016 and began a new chapter in his life as a stay-at-home dad and husband. Colin was fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a constant support for his daughters in the formative years of their lives.
Colin is survived by his spouse of twenty-two years, Robin, and his two daughters, Alexa and Kennedy. He is also survived by his father, Neil (Sharon), his mother Roxanne, his brothers David and Douglas, his brother-in-law Mark (Lindsey) and his nieces and nephews, Anisha, Johnny, Sam, Charlie, Kieran, Liam, Mason, Callum, Emilia, Quinn & Sadie Rose.
Colin spent his time with his family and friends, some of which he maintained through his life including Stephan, Dave, Mark and Adam. He enjoyed camping, online gaming, wood working, metal detecting and growing a magnificent beard.
Colin continued his selfless commitment to his community as his last act was to participate in the gift of life program through St. Michael’s Hospital.
