Bruce Brewer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Brewer in the early morning of December 7, 2023, while in his 91st year. Loving and loyal husband of Shirley, devoted father to (predeceased) David (Fiorella), Kimberley, John, and Nonno to Ashlee, Victoria (Connor), and grandfather to Sam (Daniela). Predeceased by his father, mother, and his five siblings.

Bruce's sense of humour was enjoyed by his family and everyone who knew him. He was a very kind and intelligent man who relished anything comedic. He enjoyed “church outings” with Shirley, puttering around the house, fixing his cars, and trying to outwit the unwanted squirrels and chipmunks on his bird feeders (as a disapproving Shirley looked on).

The family wishes to thank the compassionate care of the staff at the Southlake Reactivation Care Center (Phoebe, Ashley, Christina, and Alicia) and at the Humber River Hospital, and the thoughtfulness of neighbor Celly.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. His family would greatly cherish the sharing of photos and/or stories you have of Bruce.

Please take a moment to reflect on the times you enjoyed with Bruce and in memory of him, enjoy a humorous moment with loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
