Bernadette "Bernie" Celine Mullins

The Family of Bernadette (Bernie) Celine Mullins, 98, are saddened to announce her passing on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Bernie was born to Eugene & Hannah Kirby, one of 12 children, in Dublin, Ireland on December 20,1925. Predeceased by beloved husband John and infant son Gerard. Dear mother of Deirdre (Dave), Barbara (Dave), Anne (Bob). Proud Grandmother of Jason (Jane), Patrick (Sandra) and Jacqueline and Michael (Katie) and Scott (Whitney) and is lovingly remembered by her 8 great-grandchildren.

Bernie will be dearly missed by friends and neighbours at Aurora Village Co-op where she lived for 42 years. Bernie believed family was the heart of life and her annual Christmas joke was a highly anticipated and cherished part of our family dinner.

Bernie's unwavering dedication to her faith guided her throughout her life. She was part of the Our Lady of Grace parish church for 58 years and secretary at Our Lady of Grace school. During her time at Park Place Manor and Southlake, Bernie was reconnected with former students in their caregiving roles.

A Celebration of Life for Bernie will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.

A funeral Mass will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15347 Yonge St, Aurora, ON L4G 1N7. Private family interment to follow.
