Asta Manarin

Asta Helena Manarin (Born July 25th, 1953) was called to Heaven on Sunday November 26th, 2023, with her loved ones by her side. Asta was cherished by her loving husband Roy, and will be greatly missed by her children Mark (Silvana), Natasha (Rajesh), Amanda (predeceased) and Andrew (Amanda). She will also be sadly missed by her much loved grandchildren Stefanie, Alessia, Liam, Sasha and Max. She was deeply loved by her mother Vuokko Lahtinen, father Juoko (predeceased) and brother Jukka (predeceased). This loss will be also grieved by her brother and sister in law, John and Stephanie, her nieces and nephews, Sofie (predeceased), Brandon, Katherine and Elaina as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Married for an impressive 50 years to Roy, Asta’s life was intertwined with a love that stood the test of time. Together, they built a foundation of commitment and companionship, demonstrating the beauty of a lifelong partnership and family. She wanted nothing more than to be the best mother she could be all her life.

We are deeply saddened by her loss but take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.

A visitation for Asta will be held Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.

A funeral service will occur Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11:30 AM in the Tribute Hall at Thompson Funeral Home followed by a committal service at Aurora Cemetery, 14253 Yonge Street, Aurora, ON L4G0P2.
