Ashley Rebecca Kelly, born March 23, 1984, sadly passed on Monday, December 11, 2023, with her loved ones by her side. Ashley was cherished by her loving husband Michael and will be greatly missed by her children, Mason and Westin. She will also be sadly missed by her parents, Lynn & Tony Dimillo and George Jackson and deeply missed by her siblings, Christine Dimillo (Michael Maric), Venessa (Ryan Laudi), Joseph DiMillo (Marisa), her Nonno and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Ashley attended Lester B Pearson P.S. and was enrolled in the Aurora High French Immersion Program. She later went on to Wilfred Laurier University, graduating with a Bachelor in Communications.
She dreamed of working in advertising and landed her first job at Mackinnon Calderwood Advertising. But as fate would have it she switched her focus into the grocery industry, which became a passion for her both at home and work as she became quite the “foodie”. She worked for Sobey’s as a procurement manager for 7 years and Thomas Large and Singer for 7 years. She always somehow managed to sneak in her passion into our family life. We visited a pineapple farm in Hawaii and pepper farm in Florida. But mostly she loved to experiment with any new recipe she could get her hands on.
Michael and Ashley were married April 27, 2010 on Fort Myer’s Beach and Florida became Ashley’s happy place. They were blessed with 2 children, Mason Michael born, January 8, 2013 and Westin Douglas, born a few years later, June 22, 2015.
Ashley always adapted to any situation and always made everyone feel so comfortable. She liked to stay active, enjoying cycling, weekends on the family boat and most recently enjoyed the game of Hockey.
Family came first for Ashley, either enjoying a family movie night or family bike rides. She will be so deeply missed but never forgotten, her warmth, zest for life and love will live on.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora. Visitation will also take place Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel.
