Following a prolonged illness, Andrea Julianna Kovács of Scarborough, Ontario passed away on August 29, 2022 at the age of 73. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Karl, son Peter, sister Gabriella, nieces Andrea and Gabriella, daughter-in-law Felicity, as well as numerous relatives and close friends.
Born in Romania and raised in Hungary, she moved to Canada, settling in Toronto where lived with her family and worked at the University of Toronto until retirement. She was kind, humble, and possessed a wry sense of humour. She loved to travel, watch soccer or jeopardy, and chat with friends. Her dedication to her family will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Andrea will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8.
