Shocked and saddened by the news of Andre's passing. 

He had enthusiasm and vigour at all times I met him.  He had ambitions of such potentialities in the works, with promising opportunities to achieve greater things.... truly  poised to personify 'walking tall'...

How tragic! He departed far, far too early.  

My most sincere condolences to Kris and Family.

Hey sir, just wanted to say you are missed. Breanna misses you. Cheyenne misses you. I miss you man. I can't wrap my head around how they must feel. The household hasn't been the same since you left. Tried to text you yesterday about Kobe and I couldn't... 

I'm sure the two of you are sitting together now, two legends, two cool dads laughing, looking down with pride at the daughters that carry on your legacies. 

It's hard not being able to talk sports with you, to share advice with each other and rambling on about our businesses and careers.

We are not ok sir. But we will walk tall and pull through these times as one because that's what you would've wanted. Fighters not quitters. I promise I'll take care of your girls. You have my word.. from one king to another... until we meet again Dre.

I can not believe i am hearing this news Mr. ANDRE T SMITH MR.WALK TALL MY FRIEND A GREAT MAN A GREAT FATHER AND SON IS PASSED.  I have known Andre for many years he was my mentor and taught me so much about life and passion and kindness....  he is gone way way way to soon but i know he will always be remmemberd for all the great things he did for others... may god open his arms and welcome you home.

Andre to me you where a legend a thoughtful and friendly person u always had something constructive to add or to finish any dialog. Remember when I had not see u for a while and We connected at Jamaica Day in the early 90s though you were going about some business you stop help me to set up my both and purchase some Food when you were passing back. Those things speak in high volumes still today. So much more I could say but I just keep reminiscing about the kind and gentle heart man and friend you were. This is a real lost.

I hadn’t seen Andre in years, since a school reunion, but recently bumped into him as we live in the same town.  We had chance to catch up and have a few laughs recalling neighbourhood and school  adventures from our youth, so many years 
ago.

Here's to a good man, the life he lived, the hearts he touched, and the legacy he lives behind.

Well Andre, I never expected to be writing this. God had a bigger plan for you it seems. I'm grateful for our two children, Breanna & Cheyenne. I know they're going to miss you tremendously. I will always have your somewhat wise but quirky sayings in the back of my mind & never forget your spiritual chanting, barefoot, in the rain. I will only cherish the good times.
I pray the family finds peace & comfort knowing you are finally safe with our Lord & Saviour.

I lost a dear friend this week.

If I know anything about Andre T. Smith, and I do, I know that no one who ever met him ever came away the same person.

You 'd know the Andre that I know because Andre gave everyone his authentic self. And that is no lie. Andre, my friend if you were nothing else, you were the most authentic man I ever met. And that is a rare and beautiful thing.

Andre T. Smith was a singular human being. As much as anybody that I have ever met in my life, Andre stood apart, and he walked tallest among us.

When I met Andre at work he was a force. Always the top salesman on his campaign. Always head and shoulders above, always the guy you'd look up to. Always the guy who would take a risk. Always alone at the top.

He was inspired when he started his clothing line. Immediately it seemed everybody was wearing it. Me included. He did it on his own.

I loved Andre because he always made you feel like you were the centre of his universe. I was the centre of his universe. It was always me and him. He made me feel important.

We were fiends and we were colleagues but most of all we were humans. Doing the best we could for one another.

I loved Andre. I love you, Andre. I love what you taught me. And the Love I have for him was returned a hundred times over. No one who ever met Andre came away unchanged.

Andre, you figure large in my mythology.



Sending love to Andre’s family and friends, especially Bre and Cheyenne. You girls need to continue to walk tall and proud, knowing you were the light of your father’s eyes. You know you were loved by him and love never ends.

I had the pleasure of meeting you and my other cousins for the first time on holiday in 1980..  we  visited your home, took family trips together and  spent plenty of nights over as kids. You made me laugh then and the last time we spoke. When i remember your face, your smile, your jokes and your kind words, i will permanently hold that smile dear to my heart... Always remembered... D
