Randy was born on July 25, 1958 in Pasadena, Texas to Don Bryant and Veda Regan. He was the second oldest of four children, all of whom he shared a strong relationship with. Randy was always incredibly ambitious with an unwavering work ethic, even from a young age. He worked a myriad of jobs in order to pay his own way through college - first at the University of Texas before graduating from the University of Redlands in California. Randy earned his bachelor’s degree in 1991 and, following in his dad’s footsteps, began a career in real estate development. Randy went on to accumulate over 30 years of experience in real estate development, even starting his own business, Catalina Development Company, in 1998. He achieved his dream of building multi-family projects, totaling over 35,000 units, in both Texas and Colorado. Randy always loved his work and the difference that his projects made in a community, claiming that he would never retire.
Outside of work, Randy loved golf, a good glass of scotch “with the big rock,” and spending time with his two children, son Matthew and daughter Jessica, whom he considered his greatest achievements. He always prioritized his children above everything, putting them through school and supporting them in all endeavors. A true family man, Randy was in almost constant contact with family, while also piecing together centuries of the Bryant family’s ancestry.
Randy is survived by his children Matthew and Jessica, his grandson, Hudson, his siblings Ron, Daveda, Eric, and Jason, as well as his friend and former spouse Teresa. An avid lover of animals, Randy also leaves behind Ruby, his beloved canine companion of 16 years. He is predeceased by his father Don Bryant and mother Veda Regan.
Randy will forever be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all. He had the most generous soul, always putting others before himself, and he had the uncanny ability to befriend everyone that he met. Through his life he changed people, and through his work he changed communities. In this way, Randy’s legacy will live on forever.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 9203 S. University Blvd., Highlands Ranch at 10:30am on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
