Pearl B. Spencer

Pearl Spencer of Aurora passed away peacefully on February 8, 2016 at the age of 100.

She was born in Charlotte County Virginia. She graduated from nurses training in Danville Virginia and Washington D.C. She served as a nurse in the Army Nurse Corp at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. She retired as a nurse for Doctors Penn and Odell in 1977. Pearl volunteered with the Aurora Red Cross for 35 years. She also volunteered as a nurse in the surgical clinic at Fitzsimmons General Hospital for 25 years and taught exercise at the Aurora Senior Center for 17 years.

Pearl is survived by daughters Brenda Graff of Longmont and Becky Spencer of Highlands Ranch, 3 Grandchildren Sarah, Spencer and Erin, 3 Great Grandchildren Braxton, Spencer and Finn. She was preceded in death by Otto Spencer, her husband of 41 years.

A private family service took place on February 18, 2016 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery with Military Honors.
