Medhin G. Abraha

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Medhin Abraha, a devoted mother, cherished friend, and pillar of her community. She was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and an unshakable commitment to serving others.

Born on January 1st, 1955, in Hawzen, Tigray to Abesgo Gidy and Gebrekidan Abraha. In search of a brighter future, Medhin left her homeland and moved to Sudan, where she sought refuge and began the difficult process of rebuilding her life. Her unwavering spirit and courage allowed her to adapt and thrive, even in the face of hardship. She cherished the friendships and community she found in Sudan, laying the foundation for the next chapter of her journey.

In the pursuit of further opportunities and a better life for her family, Medhin immigrated to the United States, where she embraced new challenges with the same determination that had defined her life. She worked tirelessly to build a future for herself and her family, sacrificing so much to ensure that her loved ones had every opportunity to succeed.

Medhin Abraha dedicated her life to faith, family, and fellowship. She was a loving mother whose guidance, warmth, and encouragement shaped the lives of her children. She instilled in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and integrity, leaving behind a legacy that will live on for generations.

Her heart for service extended beyond her family and into the community. Her home was always open, and her presence was a source of comfort and wisdom. She never hesitated to extend a helping hand, believing that true joy came from giving. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many, creating friendships that spanned a lifetime.

Though we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing she has found peace in the arms of the Lord. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving children; Ameresh, Lemlem, Asmeret, Tirhas, Berhane, Azieb, and Alemseged. Along with a host of family members, friends, and church members who will forever cherish her memory.

Rest in peace, Medhin Abraha. Your love, grace, and generosity will never be forgotten.
