Jean Rohla

She loved her family so much and was so happy when her brother, Bernie, was born on March 8th, 1938.

She attended schools in Mankato and Oberlin, Kansas and graduated from Mankato High School in 1954. She attended College at Fort Hays State in Kansas for a brief time, but quit when her Dad became ill. She then was employed by the telephone company in Oberlin as a telephone operator.

She moved to Denver, Colorado in August, 1957. She had transferred with the telephone company, which was Mountain Bell at that time, as a telephone operator. She worked in other departments in the company, but when she retired in 1994 she was working as a Customer Service Representative for U.S. West Direct.

She was married to Grover Rohla in 1962 for a few years.

She lived with her folks and cared for them until they both passed away. Her family and friends were her life.

She was very caring, compassionate and a good friend to many. She would always remember everyone birthday and send a card, and for other occasions also.

She adored Bernie and Gladys' two chidlren, Paula and Kirk, and they loved her also. Then when their children, Justin, Kaden, Taylor, Gavin and Janelle came she was very excited and adored them too. She loved to hear all the funny things they said and did.

She loved all sports, but especially the Broncos. She was so excited when they won.

She was preceded in death by her dad, mom and brother.

She leaves her sister-in-law, Gladys, niece Paula and husband Derrick Tichy, nephew Kirk and wife Joelle Muckey and three great nephews, Justin, Kaden, Gavin Muckey and two great nieces, Taylor Tichy and Janelle Muckey and many cousins and many, many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel on Monday. January 14th, 2013 at 11:00AM. The viewing will be at 10:00AM before the service. She will be laid to rest on Tuesday morning at Eastlawn Cemetery in Aurora, followed by a Dove Release.
