In Loving Memory of Alliaunna Carriger It is with deep sorrow but unwavering faith that we announce the passing of Alliaunna Renee Carriger, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2025 at the age of 16 after a courageous battle with Ewing’s sarcoma.
Though her time on this earth was brief, her love, faith, and strength touched countless lives. Born on November 25, 2008 in Pueblo, Colorado, Alliaunna was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. She had a heart full of kindness, an unbreakable spirit, and a faith in God that never wavered, even in the face of suffering.
She loved shopping and hanging out with friends and family but above all, she found joy in worshipping the Lord, reading His Word, and sharing His love with those around her. Throughout her battle, Alliaunna found peace in her faith, trusting fully in God’s plan. She often reminded her loved ones that no matter what happened, she was in God’s hands.
Now, she is free from pain, rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, surrounded by eternal love and glory. She is survived by her loving parents, Heather Hill and Joseph Mejia, her siblings Aubrianna Carriger, Dillon Hill, Adrianna Mejia, Hayle Mejia, and Joseph Aguilar, her grandparents Pamela McCluskey and Russell and Elizabeth Sizemore, and a host of family members, friends, and caregivers who were blessed to know her. Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort knowing she is in Heaven, where there is no more suffering, only joy in the presence of our Lord.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Rest in peace, sweet Alliaunna. We will hold you in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven.
