Steven A. Parker

Memorial Services will be held 7PM on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home-Lumpkin Road Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Mr. Parker was born in Columbia, South Carolina, to a military family. He was the son of the late Guy Allen Parker and Elsie Lucille Parker. He moved to Augusta, Georgia, with his parents in 1967. Steven

is a graduate of Glenn Hills High School and went on to Augusta Technical College where he earned an associate degree in business. He worked for many years in the Sporting Goods Department at Roses

and Wal-Mart.

Steve grew up in a Scouting family and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He had a passion for bowling and wrestling. He played in many bowling tournaments in Augusta. He was also a member of Glenn Hills Baptist Church.

Mr. Parker is survived by his sister, Deborah Parker Polack; nephew, Jeremy A. Polack and his wife Laura;

nephew, Jesse A. Polack; a niece, Jamie M. Polack; an aunt, Brenda Pryor; an uncle, Carl Parker and his wife Barbara; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
