Sterling Chavous, 56, a lifelong resident of Augusta, entered into rest on March 31, 2021.
Sterling enjoyed fishing and knew every cast was going to catch the big one. He was a beloved family man and he never met a stranger.
Sterling is preceded in death by his father Larry Chavous and his sisters, Rachael and Karen. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Angel; his son, Taylor (Ashleigh); and three grandsons, Carson, Junior, and Parker; his mother, Ora Chavous; brothers, Larry (Kathy), Charles, and Richard; sisters, Theresa and Kim; and a host of beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 5:30pm at Elliott Sons Chapel on Lumpkin Road. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the Funeral Home.
