Augusta, Georgia- Ms. Rose Marie Travis Conklin, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 18, 2017. Ms. Rose had a heart of gold and found great joy in lending a helping hand to those in need. She served many years at the Salvation Army. In her free time, she expressed her artistry in beautiful pictures that she colored.
Ms. Rose was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. George Conklin, her life partner Mr. Cecil McKinley and two children, David Grant Conklin and Carol Lynn Santos.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving children; Loretta Santos, Rose Marie Dohany, George Conklin, James Conklin, Christine Conklin, Debra Meyer, Ralph Conklin, Mike Conklin, Tony Conklin, Sarah Conklin, Gean Marie McClelland, Cecil Conklin, Josey Schlageter, many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and sisters, Teresa Curry and Anna Pelaccio.
Memorial services for Ms. Rose will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
