He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Starr and Madge Lockhart; and his stepfather, Lewis Lockhart. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Monika Starr; daughter, Tanya Starr; son, Mark Starr; granddaughter, Jessica Starr; brother, Larry Starr; and a host of extended family and friends.
Robert stayed busy during his lifetime, and was extremely talented at anything he put his hands to. He enjoyed woodworking, building cabinets, and even built several boats and homes from scratch. He had his pilot’s license, and really loved camping in the mountains, hunting, and fishing. He planted a pecan orchard, kept bees, and enjoyed his garden. He was always there to lend a hand when needed. All who knew him benefitted from his advice, guidance, friendship, and generosity. He had a quick wit, sense of humor, and a deep pride for his only granddaughter.
Say not in grief “he is no more” but live in thankfulness that he was.

Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
