Rev. John T. Owens

He was born in Tampa, FL to John Owens, Sr. and Ruth Marshall. He married Sun Cha Park Owens on May 10, 1967 in Seoul, Korea.

John retired from the United States Army after 21 years as a Military Police Officer. He worked at East Central Regional Hospital as a Security Officer for 11 years.

He was very involved with his church, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his loving wife, Sun Cha Owens; daughter, Natalie (James) Moore; sons, Chris Owens, Dr. Barrington "Ricky" (Jackie) Owens, and Terry McCrea; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Rev. Chuck Smallwood and Nancy Moore and the doctors and nurses that provided care during this time.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10am at Hillcrest Memorial Park 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
