He was born on October 11, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Michael and Angela Coyle McInerney.
Michael worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.
He is predeceased by his wife Barbara Rose Artis McInerney and his son, Michael George McInerney; sisters, Mary Murphy, Ellen Gentile and Nuala Moffitt.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Maureen Maciejewski (Darrell) and Michelle Willoughby (Jeremy); grandchildren, Christina Newsome, Paige Fowler, Pride Stanley, and Hannah Stanley; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Briar Newsome and Caroline Rose Newsome; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Willoughby, Jr., Keegan Willoughby and Lainy Maciejewski.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, Friday, April 15, 2022 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Ga. A funeral will be held at 2:00pm following the visitation in the chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Friends invited.
