Meredith C. Adcock

Augusta, Ga- Mr. Meredith C. “Bert” Adcock passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center. Bert was born July 11, 1935 in Jeffress, Virginia, to the late William H. and Mary W. Adcock. He grew up in Norfolk, VA and entered the United States Army in June of 1955 and served 26 years in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Army, he worked in Civil Service. He was a member of American Legion Post 178, a life member of VFW Post 649 as well as the Disabled Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 51 years , Monika J. Adcock; three daughters, Tina (Michael) Brinson of North Augusta, SC, Sabine (Barry) Janda of Columbia City, IN and Cathy St. George of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren, Caroline and Leyton Johnson, Cassidi and Colton Brinson, Danielle and Jared Gobel; three great grandchildren, Trenton, Kyler and Peyton Gobel.

Funeral services will be held 3 PM Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors.
