Mary Lou "Ma Hill" Wright

Mary "Ma Hill" Wright entered into rest on Friday, February 17, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 in the New Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Rd. Mary was a native of Elberton Ga. but had lived in Augusta for many years. She owned and operated Jack's on Broad Street for many years. She was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Hill & Ralph Wright, her siblings, Roy Alexander, Amos Alexander, Grace Jones, Ruth Norman, and Nora Shelton. Survivors include her children, Charles Edward Hill, Mary Frances Darnall, Janice Marie Goodfriend, Karen Maxine Snipes (Dale), William David Hill, and Robert Worley Hill (Rena), 13-grandchildren, 30-great-grandchildren, and 3-great-great-grandchildren. Nieces, Betty Dees, Ann Mooney and close friends Richard Taylor and Faye Lerch. Pallbearers will be Lynn Hill, Ray Darnall, Roger Snipes, Daniel Hill, Tyler Darnall and Preston Davis.
