Mrs. Mary Flake Ellis, 64, of Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 12, 2011. Mrs. Ellis was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a born again Christian who loved her Lord. Mrs. Ellis retired with over twenty years of faithful service as a special education teacher at Hephzibah High School.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edith Flake; mother and father-in-law, Myrtle S. and Robert William Ellis; and her precious granddaughter, Breeana Pierce. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, Robert Ellis; three daughters, Donna (Timothy) Kelley, Robin (Scott) Riner, and Tammy (John Michael) Pierce; one son, Robert Ellis, III; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Monday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Lumpkin Road Baptist Church with Rev. Don Stone and Elder Scott Riner officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Timothy Kelley, Matt Riner, Ashley Williams, Earl Williams, Mike Byrd and John Michael Pierce will serve as pallbearers. George Bailey and Billy Beckman will serve as honorary pallbearers.
