Martha G Allen

Mrs. Martha G. Allen, age 84, wife of the late Fred Lee Allen, Jr., went to sleep and awoke in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Friday November 12, 2010 at University Hospital. She was born December 3, 1925, and was a member of Silvercrest Baptist Church, where for many years she served her Lord singing in the choir.

She is predeceased by her father Henry Newton Goldman, mother Martha Tallulah Cox Smith, and grandson Daniel E. Gallagher.

She is survived by her twin brother Henry Newton Goldman, Jr. and wife Ann, two daughters, Carol A. Storm and husband Bruce H. Storm, Sr. and Marie A. Gallagher and husband Pete Gallagher; grandchildren, Bruce H. Storm, Jr. and wife Dawn, Houston, TX; Angela D. Storm, Augusta and Michael L. Gallagher and wife Jaime, Keysville; great-grandchildren Christopher L. Gallagher, Alexandra L. Gallagher, Keysville; Allen B. Storm and Grant A. Storm, Houston, TX.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Earl Welch on Monday November 15 at 2 p.m. Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Lumpkin Rd.

Pall bearers will be nephew Jim Goldman, Lawton Wylds, Miller Mims, Leon Hobbs, Henry Holley, Terry Standrod, Rev. John Kilpatrick and Roger Tomlin

Friends may call at the home of daughter Marie A. Gallagher, 1001 Pleasant Valley Rd. Hephzibah. Family will receive visitors at Elliott Sons, Lumpkin Rd on Sunday 7-9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Silvercrest Baptist Church.
