Kathleen B. Kitchens

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Kathleen Annie Buffington Kitchens, 77, of Augusta passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at her home. She loved spending time with her family and watching the Atlanta Braves. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Buffington; her husband, Willie P. Kitchens and their daughter, Patricia Eubanks. She is survived by her three daughters, Catherine Perry, Dorothy (Dickie) Wigginton and Joyce Furman; one son, Ronnie (Angela) Kitchens; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 2PM, Monday in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Mrs. Kitchens' grandsons, Ron, Stuart and Tyler Kitchens, Shane Peace, Brandon Wigginton and JJ Furman, will serve as pallbearers; and Destry Kitchens as honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Kathleen's daughter, Dot, and granddaughter, Lisa Rosier, Trinity Hospice, Dr. LeClair and Home Health Care for the exemplary care, compassion and love shown to her throughout her illness.
