AUGUSTA, Ga. - Joann Poole Diaz, 71, entered into rest September 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2PM, Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home-Lumpkin Road Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Diaz was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Diaz. Survivors include her loving husband, Rigoberto Diaz; four sons, Edison Pruitt of Anderson, SC; David Diaz, Rigoberto Diaz, Jr., and Marco Diaz, all of Augusta, GA; a daughter, Sandra Yonce of Edgefield, SC; and a grandson, Antonio Escobar of Augusta, GA; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
