Jennifer was born May 11, 1976, in Augusta, GA to Diane and Pete Warren, Sr., where she lived her whole life. She is survived by her daughter Hannah Wright, her mother Diane Warren, her brother Dr. Pete Warren Jr. and his wife Dr. Vittoria Anello and their son Anthony Warren, her aunt Brenda Watson (Augusta, GA), her aunt Mary Hand (Santa Paula, CA), and dozens of family and friends who were family to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Warren, Sr.
Jennifer was a life-long learner, and dedicated her life to education and teaching. She graduated from Augusta University with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and English, as well as a Master’s degree in Psychology, and she received her Doctorate in Psychology from Georgia Southern University in 2015. She was a long-time instructor and academic advisor in the Department of Psychology at Augusta University where she was well-loved and regarded by her colleagues, students, and friends and in 2017 received the Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Award for her contributions and dedication to excellence in education.
Jennifer was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her flowers and animals at her family home. One of her many hobbies was crocheting, a skill passed through the family to her with which she made wonderful shawls, scarves, and blankets for friends and loved ones. She loved to cook and bake, and was famous for her family recipes. She was totally devoted to her family and close friends and she treasured every moment that she had with her daughter Hannah and the rest of her loving family.
A graveside service will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 5060 Mike Padgett Hwy Augusta, GA 30906 at 1pm. The family will welcome friends and loved ones at the fellowship hall at Piney Grove Baptist Church after the service.
Pallbearers who will honor Ms. Wright will be Bill Wright, Clarence Wright, David Watson, Wesley Pierson,
Nick Sanders, Buzz Broome.
