James Edward Powell

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home-Lumpkin Road Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bob Stanford, Steve Frew, Ron Roberts, Paul Faglier, Jason Faglier, Richard Nevils, Andy Anderson, and Ronnie Sikes.

Mr. Powell was a devoted family man. He was a hard worker; very dedicated to his job. He worked 23 years with Plant Engineering at University Hospital; also, he did Keystone Home inspections and worked for Sid Beckum Homes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Vicki Powell; children, Donna (Rick) Parkman, Lisa (Rick) McDowell, Billy (Sharon) Hall, and Tana (Jamie) Williams; sister, Ruth Barnes; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Nate) Sparks, Trey Williams, Kayla Williams, Kelsey Williams, Stuart Hall, Evan Hall, Amberly Williams, Randall Williams, Jessica McDowell, and Andrea McDowell-Yount; and great-grandson-to-be, Gunner Aaron Sparks.

The family will receive friends from 5PM until 7PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia.
