Harry James Newbold

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 4pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta. Interment will be private.

Harry was born in Evadale, TX. He was a retired supervisor from Federal Paper Board. He served his country in the Army. He was a member of The American Legion Post # 205, the 40&8, Fraternal Order of Eagles #1197. Harry enjoyed fishing and volunteering his time.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Herron Newbold, daughters, Veronica Ann Newbold Smith, Atlanta, GA; Brenda Taylor, North Augusta, SC; son, Kenneth Herron, Augusta, GA, and a number of grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1197, 1999 Scott Road, Augusta, GA, 30906.
