He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Jackie Cook, and Harold L. Young, Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-four and a half years, Gail Young; son, Wes Young; son, Chris Young (Heather); daughter, Jess McMahon (Daniel); granddaughters, Laurel Denise Young, Hailey Michelle Young, Kinley Bree Young, and Layla Meredith McMahon; and brothers, Drew Cook and David Cook (Becky).
Mr. Young loved to be around his family and friends, his motorcycle, golf, football, and traveling, especially to Daytona Beach and the Smoky Mountains.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. The family will hold a private ceremony to spread the ashes at Daytona Beach at a later date.
